Nature Winter Photo Contest


Get outside this winter and send us your best winter nature shots taken at a
Conservancy preserve or natural area.

Calling all budding photographers in grades 3-12 from Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Mackinac, and Chippewa counties. The Little Traverse Conservancy has teamed up with Bearcub Outfitters in Petoskey to offer the Nature Winter Photo Contest!

Here are the simple rules:
All photos must be taken at a Little Traverse Conservancy nature preserve or a local natural area that it has helped protect. To see a list, please visit www.landtrust.org or call 231.347.0991 to get a copy of the map or preserve guide.

Photos can be submitted until March 31, 2010. Digital images will be accepted, but print versions are preferred (minimal size 4” x 6”). Each participant will be requested to fill out a form allowing the Conservancy and Bearcub to use the image. Click here for the form. It is also available in the Conservancy office.

Photos will be judged in the following age categories:
3rd-5th grade; 6th-8th grade; and high school.

The top entry from each age category will be awarded a $50 gift certificate from Bearcub Outfitters of Petoskey.
